Are you interested in getting more involved but have limited available time to help? We are looking for micro-volunteers! These roles include:
Communications Committee: Raises awareness and visibility of the Chapter through event graphics, eblasts, social media, and cross-promotion. Micro-volunteering could include:
- Developing Graphics
- Collecting Headshots
- Coordinating Content of Quarterly Newsletter
- Reaching Out to Members for Member Spotlights
- Liking, sharing, and tagging social media posts
- Editing Content
- Photography

Website Content Review
Education Committee: Educates on SMPS’ 6 Domains of Practice. Micro-volunteering could include:
- Generating Topics for Programs
- Distributing/Collecting Evaluations
- Solicitation of Speaker(s)
- Securing Sponsor(s)
- Maintaining Lending Library
- Coordinating with Regional Lead for CPSM Study Group
- Hosting an SMPS Event at Your Office
- Logging in Registrants
- Day of Event Coordination – nametags, checking in attendees, photography
Membership Committee: Member engagement, attracting new members, and interfacing with SMPS Headquarters. Micro-volunteering could include:
- Downloading Member Roster
- Reaching Out to Prospective Members
- Printing Name Tags for In-Person Events
- Attending Events to Answer Membership Questions
- Hosting Member Breakfast at Your Office

Day of Event Coordination for Programs and Education
Programs Committee: Hosts client/industry-facing events in the form of virtual/in-person keynote speaker(s), panel discussion, or roundtable events. Micro-volunteering could include:
- Generating Topics/Industries
- Distributing/Collecting Evaluations
- Solicitation of Speaker(s)
- Securing Sponsor(s)
- Securing Venue
- Coordinating AV Needs
